General Notes: In 1911 a son was born from Ida May Paxton, and James Watson Powell. That son turned out to be my grandfather. He died in 1987. For the many years I knew him, he was a great inspiration to me. He was a teacher, loving grandfather, and a giver. He always went out of his way to make me laugh, smile and have a good time. When I was growing up, I always remembered going to see him and my grandmother several times during the summer. They lived about 4 hours drive from us. When I got my first car, I went up there on my own for weekends. I always loved to see him !! One of the most rememberable moments I remember is him, cleaning a cooking catfish. After he taught me how to fish. I remember he taught me how to clean them, and fry them (oh they tasted so good). There are so many other membered times that I can not even write down. I just wish I could have said GOOD BYE to him. The last time I saw him, is when I was up there on one of my weeks ends and he was not coherent of me being there, I helped my grandmother take care of him. After that he passed away during the next week
